You can keep your stance, but I'll take ground clearance any day.

someone here on oppo told me that everything is stance, lift, drop, anything to do with the relationship of ride height.

True Dat.

I wish you were around earlier. I sold my Bilstein HDs and Hotchkis sway bars for my LGT around June/July

all-terrain suspension; all-season tires. LOL

Does that offer stock but stronger height? And for an 05?

It's slightly lower than stock, but stiffens up the suspension a bit for track days and autocross. I had it on my 06 LGT, so 05 is also compatible

Why did you sell ? And how was it on the road? It's my dd so can't go overboard.

I had Bilstein HD struts and STI Pink springs. The struts were re-valved by Bilstein in Germanyto match the springs perfectly

I sold everything on the car because the dealer would only give me the same value as a trade regardless of what was on the car. I had oil analysis done by Blackstone Labs about 6 times and I showed strong evidence of a ringland issue in Cylinder #4 (somewhat typical for turbo Subarus).
As for the suspension, it was perfect. It was a bit more rough on rough roads, but on anything other than washboard roads it was a dream. If you've ever driven a 3-Series BMW, it was as close as you could get to that. I just felt so connected to the road and felt like I knew exactly what the car was doing at all times

Really appreciate the info. How many miles were on it when you got rid of it? I'm planning on ditching mine around the 100k mark due to the infamous #4 cylinder

I had 96k on it when I sold it. I had every intention of keeping it until it died, but shelling out a few grand for a rebuilt engine was not in my budget. If you run good oil in it, then you should avoid a lot of those issues. HammerDown on the legacygt forum has over 230k last time I checked. Everything is all original, no mods except for an Amsoil dual remote filtration kit which filters down to 1 microns and allows him to run 15k OCIs I believe

The proper ride height for the proper road surface.
WRC on gravel stages means increased ride height.
The no-longer run Safari rally? That was insane!
Yes, with air scoops up high because of river crossing a.k.a. fjording.
Then again, Stance or not, a WRC car in tarmac / asphalt trim is just stunning. (Yes, of course I'm biased!)

Yea I've seen that dude's posts! The dealership puts Castrol GTX in it every 3,500. Even if she does bite the bullet, I got a warranty to fall back on so hopefully I'm set. Thanks again.

Short OCIs are the most important thing with these cars so you should be set. Remember to remove your banjo bolts!

On a scale of 1-10, how hard is it to remove those filters? I read about them quite often

I always wondered why Subaru made the stock WRX and WRX STI so low, and why people lower them further.
Rally cars aren't low, at least on anything other than a tarmac-only stage.
I am waiting for Subaru to put the WRX/STI drivetrain in the XV Crosstrek body. Even better if they give the XV Turbo a 3-door body style in addition to 5-door.
Plus these: (color, headlights/grille, engine, gearbox, driveline, brakes, interior upgrades... etc...)
Plus optionally this side door and roofline configuration:
Equals a great successor to this:
And these:

I believe the driver's side banjo bolt is easy to remove. Probably a 4-5 in terms of easiness. The passenger side is a booger, but some people also say that you don't need to remove that one. Essentially if you're sticking to short OCIs like you mentioned you do, you'll be fine. They become a problem when they're clogged up with gunk after running longer (metal shavings from engine wear and sludge oil). Once that stuff builds up and clogs the filter, your turbo gets no oil and grenades from the heat, sending everything into your combustion chamber. Don't be scared though- like I said, if you stick to short OCIs (a few dollars in the long run) your car will love you and you will love it.
